Choose life, Choose a job….

“Choose a family, Choose a fucking big television
Choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players, and electrical tin openers.
Choose good health, low cholesterol and dental insurance.
Choose fixed-interest mortgage repayments…”

We can’t live life twice, therefore life becomes heavy. Every choice carries weight, because it is in choices that our lives are formed.

Do you live life heavily or lightly?

When we were young, lightness seem to be admired for its youthful rebellious spirit, but as we grow older, I see the karma of lightness hunting everyone down…and I feel almost relieved that I did not choose that path. But what is the cost of heaviness? obviously… the weight..

and a sort of regret at the back of my head, knowing that I did not take the chances when I still had the courage, when I could still afford to make mistakes.

I suspect, people like me, who choose to live heavily, are cautious cowards.

Deep down inside, I am so afraid of changes, afraid of drama, uncertainty, afraid of taking risks in life. Perhaps, I am just not brave enough to be responsible for my choices.

So lightness, or… heaviness… which one would you choose?
